Barley coffee or barley infusion is used as a substitute for coffee for the good digestion of food, for purification and for the intestines.


Pour 50 ml of boiling water over 2 tablespoons of barley coffee, let steep for 5 minutes and strain.

The advantage of barley coffee is that it has no caffeine. It is therefore an alternative to decaffeinated coffee but with many benefits.

Use :

Making barley coffee with a French press
Step 1: Boil water
Step 2: Put the amount of barley as you usually do with ground coffee (about 1 tablespoon for 20cl of water)
Step 3: Pour the boiling water and leave to infuse for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring regularly
Step 4: Press with the plunger
Step 5: It's ready can enjoy!

Make barley coffee with an Italian coffee maker
Step 1: Pour the barley coffee into the funnel of the coffee maker.
Step 2: Pour the water into the tank and bring to a boil over low heat. It takes 4 to 7 minutes
Step 3: It's ready you can enjoy!


Making barley coffee with a saucepan or kettle
Step 1: Boil water in a saucepan or kettle (20 cl for a tablespoon of barley coffee)
Step 2: Pour the equivalent of coffee and water into a cup and let steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
Step 3: You can strain or let the barley coffee stagnate at the bottom of the cup like Turkish coffee.
Step 4: It's ready you can enjoy!
